HEAD START / PRESCHOOL
Sierra Grande Preschool / Head Start Director
CTE Instructor - Early Childhood Education
I have worked in the field of early childhood education since 1998 serving as an infant/toddler teacher, teacher assistant, preschool teacher, assistant director, director, coach and mentor. I also teach Early Childhood Education classes through Trinidad State Junior College and I am a certified instructor for the Pyramid Plus Approach through the University of Denver. Teaching young children is my passion because they are our future. Children deserve a quality education to help build a solid foundation for success in life. Sharing this vision with high school students is rewarding because they will have an integral part in educating our upcoming leaders. I want to help ignite the spark that changes the world. Students in the CTE – Early Childhood Education have the opportunity to receive college credits in addition to a high school credit for the course work they successfully complete. This is an exciting time for this new program at Sierra Grande School.
