Sierra Grande School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will assist with instructional activities, provide individualized student support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Do you know someone with a lowrider? We are looking for local and out of district participants to come set-up their lowrider car, classic, or hot rod by 3:30 pm Thursday April 30th for our Cinco de Mayo Family Night. All participants are welcome, there's no entry fee, no prizes. Simply come to the school and set-up in the designated area (school's parking lot, front section) to showcase your vehicle and participate in the event and enjoy the festivities. There will be free food, entertainment, music, dancers, other vendors, as well as educational activities such as Arts, Science, Reading, Math, Culinary (flour tortilla making), free books and more!


Every Monday from 4:30-7:00pm
Please meet in the innovation lab for family dinner.
Childcare will be provided.

Amber Martinez, our support staff honoree, leads our special education department with dedication, organization, and a strong commitment to student success.
Brooke Paine, our overall Teacher of the Year, is an outstanding 9–12 English Language Arts teacher who consistently delivers high-quality instruction and meaningful learning experiences.
Both Amber and Brooke exemplify excellence through strong lesson design, clear objectives, and a focus on growth. They build lasting relationships with students, embrace feedback, and lead both inside and outside the classroom. Most importantly, students consistently speak to the rigor of their classes and the opportunities they provide to truly learn.
Both have been invited to attend the SLV Educator of the Year banquet at Ski Hi Event Center on May 5th.
We are fortunate to have them representing Sierra Grande.
